Welcome to my gallery

Art, as far as it is able, follows nature, as a pupil imitates his master; thus your art must be, as it were, God's grandchild. ~ Dante

Drawing was my first love. I grew up rendering in pencil, pen and ink, charcoal and watercolor the animals and scenery around me, from household pets to the Ohio river outside my window,. Recently I have found new creative energy through the study of sculpture, digital photography, pastels, and most recently oils.

I see artistic endeavors as an invitation, a gift of the Creator to share in the joy of creation. Our minds can conceive of perfection far beyond that which our hands can attain, but that is the beautiful struggle of making art: a mixture of joy and longing, like feeling homesick for a place you have never been.
